Come On-A my house

A painting inspired by the young Rosemary Clooney.
Come On-A My House

The song that launched young Rosemary Clooney’s career wasn’t her favorite, but she may not have become a household name had she decided to stick to her guns and not sing it.  The song, Come On-A My House, was recorded in June of 1951 and it put the young singer on the charts,  launching her into a career and a lifestyle that almost killed her.

“Come On-A My House”, the painting, is 24×18″ acrylic on board panel. The blue hugh is used to evoke the blue side of life that ahunted many of Clooney’s years. You can expect to see this and other original, new works at the 2018 show at Ariodante Contemporary.
