“Nestled among century-old oaks in Laurel’s charming Historic District is the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art.”
That’s how the museum description reads, but when visiting you may feel the palpable past, kep alive by this beautiful meuseum and the surrounding historic district.
We went to see a Chihuly exhibit which did not wow me as much as some of his other exhibits I’ve seen. The true gems were in the permanent collection, which contained work by regional contemporary artists (important to us regionsl contemporary artists).

Opened in 1932, this free gallery boasts an impressive collection, and is worth visiting for the regional beauty alone.
