One of the most memorable buildings I have ever experienced is the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth which houses a spectacular collection of post World War II art
“The Modern maintains one of the foremost collections of modern and contemporary art in the central United States and hosts major traveling exhibitions. The Permanent Collection consists of more than 3,000 works including pieces by Anselm Kiefer, Robert Motherwell, Pablo Picasso, Jackson Pollock, Gerhard Richter, Susan Rothenberg, Richard Serra, Andres Serrano, Cindy Sherman, and Andy Warhol².”¹
The museum is glass walled and located in the middle of a shallow lake, refracting light and drawing the viewer’s eyes in, and out at the same time. From the inside of The Modern, one is hardly aware of the presence of exterior walls. Teh museum buidling is as exceptioal as the art it houses and worth your time to visit if you are in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
